Inter-Squadron Cross Country A big well done to the eight cadets who represented the Squadron at cross country today. We came 2nd in the under 15 girls category, 3rd in the under 17 mens category and third overall.
A particularly strong achievement was made by Cadets Fagan and Innes who came second and third respectively in the under 15 girls race. They will now go forward to respresent the Wing at the inter-Wing cross country event.

Squadron Camp a Success Well done to the nine cadets who attended the Squadron Camp this weekend. The camp was a huge success due to the positive attitudes and determination of the cadets who participated.

Flt Lt Button completes sponsored walk Flight Lieutenant Button has succesfully completed her 11 mile sponsored walk from Hull to Hornsea along the Transpenine Trail.
The exact figure that she has raised is as yet unknown but is estimated to be around £200. This money will be put towards a flight simulation system for the squadron.

Opening of the new building On 12th July the new building was formally opened and visitors were given the chance to look at the superb new facilities. The mayor of Hornsea and the Officer Commanding Central and East Yorkshire Wing were amongst the many visitors. The cadets took part in various displays such as drumming, drill and first aid. A good time was had by all and the squadron will enjoy the new facilities.

Cadet Leighton's First Flight Cadet Leighton had his first flight in a Grob Tutor today and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Also flying today were Cadets Gardner and Innes.
