Flt Lt Button completes sponsored walk Flight Lieutenant Button has succesfully completed her 11 mile sponsored walk from Hull to Hornsea along the Transpenine Trail.
The exact figure that she has raised is as yet unknown but is estimated to be around £200. This money will be put towards a flight simulation system for the squadron.

Opening of the new building On 12th July the new building was formally opened and visitors were given the chance to look at the superb new facilities. The mayor of Hornsea and the Officer Commanding Central and East Yorkshire Wing were amongst the many visitors. The cadets took part in various displays such as drumming, drill and first aid. A good time was had by all and the squadron will enjoy the new facilities.

Cadet Leighton's First Flight Cadet Leighton had his first flight in a Grob Tutor today and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Also flying today were Cadets Gardner and Innes.

New Building We will have our first parade night in the new building on Monday 5th May! The keys will be handed to Flt Lt Button tomorrow (Fri 2 May 08).

Temporary Accommodation As of Monday 19th November 2007, we will be parading in the ACF (Army Cadet Force) building. This is because our own building is undergoing major development.
We will be in the ACF building until further notice.

First Class Training Day Congratulations to Cdt Stephenson who completed her first class training today. As a first class cadet she is now eligible to attend annual camps.
Congratulations also to Cadets Grundy, Innes and McKenna who have completed all of the academic elements of first class training. Once they have passed the drill test they too will be first class cadets.
